I CARE MORE ABOUT YOU THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD.

“God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. He will surely do even more for you!” Matthew 6:30 (CEV)

People devote hours to looking for the biggest profits around. They rush to and fro searching for the “next big thing,” the latest high-tech innovation, or the sure-fire, can’t-miss, triple-your-money-in-two-weeks stock offering. Why else do you think Shark Tank is such a popular show?

I want you to stop and think about the best investment in the entire world… YOU.

The first book in the Bible — Genesis — tells the story of how I invested my best into human beings. You and everyone around you bears my image. This is a reality that should take your breath away. You are my greatest creation. My masterpiece. The one in which I want to spend time. All my hopes and dreams for this world boil down to you. I have given you my word. My truth. My strength. My power. I have given you everything you need to accomplish my great rescue plan. I care about you deeply.

You are my greatest investment. I want to pour in to you, talk to you, share with you, guide you, and bless you. I want you to be the best you can be — in my strength and for my glory.

I want you to share your hopes, dreams, fears, and goals with me. I want to spend time with you… just you and me… one-on-one.

I trust you know that my care for my creation didn’t stop in Genesis. Centuries later, I sent my son, Jesus, to the world to secure my relationship with mankind. And after him, I sent the Holy Spirit.

I not only created you, I am still right there with you. In the midst of this messy life. In the ups and the downs. In the good days and the bad. In the confusion and pain, as well as the joy and peace. And I’m ready to invest even more of my power, wisdom, grace, and love to anyone who reaches out to me and asks for my help.

If the God of the universe thinks this highly of you, maybe it’s time you started thinking more highly of yourself.

Try investing time in developing a relationship with the One who loves you so much. While you’re at it, spend a little more time with family and friends. They will enrich your life far more than any monetary investments.

NEXT STEPS:

  • Read Acts 17:22-29.

  • List three qualities (from the passage above) that Paul said God possesses. Explain how this affects your view of God.

  • Now list three talents or gifts that you possess. How do you think you got them? Did you ever take time to thank God for giving them to you? Why not do that right how?

  • Read more about what it means to know God and be known by Him.
